The first thing to be noted about this product is its beautiful blue and gold foiled packaging! If I saw this product in a store, I would probably consider buying it because of it’s pretty detailing.

When opening the scrub, you get a sense of the smell straight away. This scrub has a very strong scent, which to me smells super fruity-mango-orange. I don’t mind the smell; however, I would steer away from this if you don’t like really perfumed products.

While I like the easy to use packaging (simple tub with screw-top lid) I think it’s kind of annoying in the shower when you have to try to put it back on with one hand full of the product. But, I can’t think of an alternative type design that would suit (maybe a squeezy tube?).

Usually an obsessed coffee-scrub fan, I actually really liked this product and found it quite mild on my skin while still being exfoliating. I didn’t think I would like the consistency at first, as I found it runny and sticky, but it does work well and isn’t as messy as coffee-type scrubs. It also doesn’t leave you feeling sticky once washed off which I initially thought it would.

I have been using this all week and think it’s very effective in exfoliating and smoothing the skin, and I probably would consider purchasing this again. I think the strong, unique scent is an either love-it or hate-it; however, I really like the smell.

Would I buy it again? Probably

I was quite excited to try this body scrub, because I had seen some of the Natura Siberica products on Instagram, and I love their packaging. I know that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, so to speak, but the packaging is just so pretty.

Ok, enough about the pretty things, let’s get down to the nitty gritty. The first thing I noticed when I opened the scrub was its smell. It has this very unusual, synthetic mango/tropical scent that was completely unexpected considering the Oblepikha is, as far as I understand, a berry. Personally, I am not a fan of that smell, so I think it could be something that people either love or hate. I would have to say that I was most surprised with its texture. It had this really thick, honey-like texture which I thought stuck quite well to the skin, leaving very little mess in the shower, especially when compared to my favourite home-made coffee scrub.

All up, I used this scrub every second day for just over a week. It was super easy to use, and like I said before, left the shower pretty clean, which is a massive positive. At first, I liked the grainy-ness of the scrub, but I thought that it felt like it dissolved quite quickly in water. I like my scrubs to work hard, and still be able to scrub as I am rinsing it off, so that was a bit of a negative point for me.

All in all, I actually didn’t mind this scrub. I definitely think that I would buy it again if it was around the $20 mark, because it has that whole “spa in a jar” type thing going for it, with its pretty packaging and unusual ingredients
Would you buy it again? Definitely!

I was so very excited to receive this product. Straight away I was drawn in to how beautiful the packaging is. Seriously, it is such exciting packaging that it raises your expectations of the product. Before opening the tub, I decided to do some research and find out what Oblepikha is and how to pronounce it. Try as I might I couldn’t find a site to help me pronounce it. I did find that Oblepikha is a Siberian orangeberry that is also known as Sea Buckthorn. I was excited to find this out! I have had products in the past with Sea Buckthorn and I knew that it smelled amazing. I have a strong passion for citrus scents so the Sea Buckthorn’s strong orange scent is right up my alley. Sea Buckthorn is rich in vitamin C, E, and B, and it includes Fatty acids including Omega 7, so it helps to deeply nourish the skin. The buckwheat honey helps to increase elasticity and firmness, and the sage has a tonic effect and helps eliminate toxins from the skin. Upon unscrewing the lid and opening the tub, I was greeted with the delicious scent of oranges. I was instantly in heaven and couldn’t wait for my shower that night! The scrub is orange in colour, and has a grainy texture. However, it is not rough on the skin. When you apply this product it goes on smoothly and is not harsh in any way. It still has that scrub feel in a wonderfully gentle way, so you feel that all the dead skin cells are being rubbed away, without your skin feeling scratched. I found that it felt lovely on the skin and my skin felt instantly hydrated, which was interesting for such a product. Once the scrub is mixed with the water from the shower it becomes milky and you simply have to run your hands over your skin a little to coax it to wash away. I found this to be wonderful as I have often found with scrubs that as soon as the water hits them they are gone.
After my shower my skin felt lovely, smooth, and hydrated. To make it even better my bathroom smelled divine. This product has no mineral oils, no glycols and no nasty parabens. It has great packaging, an amazing scent, and is wonderfully smooth on the skin. This range of products would make fantastic gifts for friends. That’s if you can stand to give them away. I will certainly purchase this product again and other products from their range.”
Would you buy it again? Definitely

I got this as a gift with purchase when I ordered another scrub and I am very impressed by this one. It smells yummy – very close to the actual smell of the oblepikha berry. I find the smell so addictive I ordered shower gel, hand cream and shampoo in the same range.

The texture of the scrub is perfect, it washes off easily and leaves the skin soft and the bathroom smelling divine. The scrub granules seem to be real salt. The jar is very pretty and the whole process of using this colourful orange product is very uplifting. A great way to start the day. Highly recommend it! Also makes for an affordable gift.
